Ronin is an alias adopted by several characters in Marvel Comics, but is most notably associated with Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye.
Clint Barton first assumed the Ronin identity in New Avengers #11 (2005). After the events of House of M and his subsequent return to the New Avengers, Barton felt the Hawkeye persona was too closely tied to past traumas. He sought a fresh start, embracing the masked Ronin persona, which initially kept his true identity a secret from his teammates.
As Ronin, Barton donned a black and gold suit, wielding a katana and other melee weapons, showcasing a different fighting style than his traditional archery-based approach.
